§ Lieutenant - Colonel Sir ALFRED WARRENasked the Secretary of State for War if the Army Boot Repairing Depot, Old Kent Road, is now proving itself to be a success in respect to cut Army soles; does the cost oi production of such soles compare favourably with the prices for similar soles quoted by private undertakings, and, if not, is it proposed to close down this depot rather than allow it to continue as an unnecessary expenditure?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe answer to the first two parts of my hon. Friend's question is in the affirmative. It is the intention to continue the depot so long as the requirements of the Army justify its existence.
