§ Mr. MURCHISONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Shipping Controller whether he is aware of the serious lack of employment at the port of Hull; and whether, in order to meet this difficulty, he can see his way to make such provision as will allow of more grain being landed at the docks at Hull?
Colonel WILSONThe Shipping Controller is aware that some surplus of labour at present exists at the Hull Dock, and efforts are being made to increase the use of the port facilities for the discharge of grain, having due regard to the problems of inland distribution involved.
