§ Major HENDERSONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has received a petition from the Finance Committee of the United Free Church of Scotland in reference to the rate of property tax at present paid on manses occupied by ministers of this Church; and whether, in view of the hardship involved, he will undertake to introduce a Clause into the next Finance Bill to provide for property tax on such manses being charged in future at the rate appropriate to the income of the minister residing therein?
