HC Deb 04 March 1919 vol 113 cc253-4W
Mr. J. DAVISON

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the feeling caused by the repudiation of the Treasury of the promises contained in the Post Office circular,29th September, 1914, relating to the terms of enlistment of Post Office officials in the Royal Engineers; and whether, having regard to the judgment of the Law Officers of the Crown on the legality of the deductions from the civil pay of those men, he will afford facilities for contesting this question of the breach of contract in the Law Courts?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

I must refer the hon. Member to my reply to the question asked by the hon. Member for Monmouth on the 19th ultimo.
