§ Mr. ILLINGWORTHThe standing instruction is that ex-soldiers who have been discharged owing to wounds or illness should be given a preference for retention over all other members of the temporary force. The latter, whether male or female, will be discharged in the inverse order of length of temporary employment. I am inquiring into the circumstances at Northampton.
