asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the life assurance agents and collectors will be able to cross-examine witnesses before the Committee of Inquiry into Industrial Life Assurance; and whether the inquiry will be conducted in public?

The Committee has decided that the inquiry shall be conducted in public when witnesses are being examined, but no person other than a member of the Committee will be allowed to examine the witnesses.
