HC Deb 04 June 1919 vol 116 cc2039-40W
Earl WINTERTON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Munitions how many Rolls-Royce motor cars, other than armoured cars or lorries, the property of the public, are at present being used by Ministers and officials; and whether, in view of the fact that Rolls-Royce cars in good condition are fetching from £4,000 to £5,000, these cars can be sold and less expensive cars substituted for them?

Mr. KELLAWAY

Only one Rolls-Royce car has been used by the Ministry of Munitions. Arrangements have been made for the sale of this car and the substitution of a less expensive type. There are no Rolls-Royce cars amongst the fifty-nine cars supplied by the Ministry to other Government Departments.
