asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture how many applications have been made for mares of the hunter type since they were invited on the 1st January, 1919, and how many mares have been placed with custodians?

Mr. PRATT

Approximately 300 applications have been received for Army mares of the hunter type. About 100 mares of this type were submitted for inspection and thirteen of these were chosen as suitable for allotment and placed out with custodians.
