§ Mr. HALLASasked the Minister of Health whether it is the intention of the Government to give effect to the recommendations and conclusions of the Interdepartmental Committee on the "Welfare of the Blind by introducing such legislation 2132W as will secure decent conditions of life and labour for every sightless person in the British Isles?
§ Major ASTORIt is the intention of the Government to submit to Parliament, as soon as possible, we hope early in next year, proposals for legislation which would include amongst its purposes the amelioration of the conditions of the blind. But I am not in a position at present to enter upon the details of the Bill.
