Mr. HARMSWORTHThe production of the documents referred to by the hon. Member is no longer required, and the use of the form asking for these particulars is being discontinued. During the period of demobilisation the information asked for was required to ensure that an applicant had been fully demobilised or exempted from military service; and during the shipping shortage to ensure that applications of discharged or demobilised sailors and soldiers received special consideration.
