HARMOOD-BANNERasked the Prime Minister whether his special attention has been called to the enormous loss caused to the iron and steel trades of this 1579W country and to other trades by the sudden and unforeseen rise of 6s. per ton in the price of coal, which has placed manufacturers in the position of having sold their products on the basis of the price of coal before the rise and having to deliver their products after the rise at the enhanced price caused by the sudden extra cost of 6s. per ton; and whether he will consider the propriety of giving some means to counteract the loss and damage caused by the action of the Government?
