THOMSONasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office why gratuities have not yet been paid in 1385W respect of Lance-Corporal James Blaikie, No. 11413, 1st Battalion, Gordon Highlanders, who was killed in April, 1918, and of his brother, Private Gordon Blaikie, No. 85853, Machine Gun Corps, who was posted as missing on 29th May, 1918, and whose death has now been presumed by the Army Council; and whether he will give instructions that these gratuities, together with other sums due to the soldiers, be paid as soon as possible?
