§ Dr. MACNAMARAI do not think my hon. and gallant Friend can intend to suggest that Admiralty officials would intentionally pick out silver-badge men for discharge. Of course reductions are inevitable; but certainly men who have served in the combatant forces during the War would be given all possible consideration for retention, and any cases in which it is considered that such men have been unfairly treated will be investigated, if my hon. and gallant Friend will furnish particulars.
