§ Lieut.-Colonel AMERYThe Acting-Governor was requested to inform the Nyasaland Chamber of Commerce that no proposal for the organised recruiting of labour for service outside Nyasaland was before the Secretary of State, that the chamber might rest assured that any such proposal would receive the most careful consideration before approval was given, but that the Secretary of State was unable to give any definite pledge with regard to the future.
