HC Deb 04 July 1919 vol 117 cc1273-4W
Mr. SPOOR

asked the Prime Minister, in view of the definite opinion expressed by the Government that the principle of self-determination applies to Esthonia with no less force than to other countries, and that the future status of the country should be settled on that principle, and seeing that the Government agreed to provisionally recognise the Constituent Assembly as a de facto independent body, whether the demands of the entire Esthonian population for independence have been granted at the Peace Conference?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

No decision has been reached by the Peace Conference in regard to the future status of Esthonia.
