GUINNESSasked the Secretary of State for War whether in January last the military authorities engaged a number of civilian teachers to give lessons to soldiers in connection with the Government scheme of education in the Army; whether, in spite of repeated applications, Do payment for these services has yet been made; and whether he will expedite settlement for the work done by these civilian teachers in New-market?
§ Mr. FORSTERI am informed that no civilian teachers have been, or are being, employed at the Army School of Education at New-market. If my hon. and gallant Friend will let me have particulars of the cases to which he refers, I will have the matter investigated.
