§ Colonel ASHLEYasked the Pensions Minister whether he will consider the grant of a further bonus on war pensions, in view of the fact that the bonus of 20 per cent. already granted does not nearly 1989W represent the increased cost of living; and whether he will arrange to have this bonus and any further bonus that may be granted added to all service and alternative pensions as well as ordinary disablement and dependants' pensions?
§ Sir J. CRAIGThe bonus of 20 per cent. is not designed to meet the increase in cost of living since the beginning of the War, pensions and allowances having been repeatedly raised since 1914, and I do not think that it can be regarded as inadequate. The question of extending the bonus to certain other classes of disability pensions is under consideration. Service pensions are not administered by the Ministry of Pensions.
