§ Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKEasked the Pensions Minister whether it is proposed to consider making any addition to the pensions of retired officers of the Royal Marine Light Infantry, in view of the fact that these pensions were fixed very many years ago when the purchasing power of the sovereign approached three times the purchasing power at the present day?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAI have been asked to answer this question. The question of the retired pay of officers of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines was one of the subjects being dealt with by Admiral1792W Jerram's Committee; but, in view of the pressure of work upon that Committee, the Board have decided to appoint another Committee working in close liaison with Admiral Jerram's Committee to consider solely questions relating to the pay, etc., of officers. This Committee will work under Admiral Jerram and will report through him.
