Lieutenant-Colonel GUINNESSasked the Minister of Labour whether managers of Labour Exchanges are paid on a commission basis under which, the more money they pay out the more they receive from the Government; and, if so, whether, in connection with the promised reorganisation of the system, he will remove this incentive to public extravagance?
§ Mr. WARDLEManagers of Employment Exchanges are paid salary at annual rates and do not receive any payments on a commission basis. As regards part-time officials at Branch Employment Offices I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply given by me on the 19th February to a question by the hon. Member for the Rathmines Division of Dublin County.
