Mr. DOYLEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has considered the desirability, in the interest of British 1432W trade, that pre-war and early war contracts with foreign countries interfered with by the war should be completed; and, if so, in cases where it has been found impossible to arrange a compromise between the contracting parties in regard to the increased cost of manufacture the Government will give the necessary assistance to manufacturers to enable them to fulfil their contracts at the contract prices?
