§ Captain REDMONDasked the Food Controller whether he is aware that there is still a restriction on the exportation of fat cattle from Ireland to this country; whether there is an abundant supply of fat cattle for exportation in Ireland; and, if so, when he proposes to withdraw this embargo?
Mr. ROBERTSRestrictions on the number of fat tattle exported from Ireland to this country were entirely removed as from 30th December, 1918. During the last three weeks, the numbers of fat cattle arriving from Ireland show a reduction, and an endeavour is being made to arrange for increased supplies in view of the anticipated shortage of fat stock in this country during the early months of this year.
