HALLasked the Minister of Health if he will explain why the Milk and Dairies (Consolidation) Act, 1915, which provides for the necessary cleanliness of milk supplied to consumers, and also assists the local authority in their work in defeating the warranty defence, has not been brought into operation; and whether he will state the probable time of such Act being brought into operation?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe reason is that, as already announced, it has been decided to introduce legislation to amend and extend the provision of the Act referred to (the Milk and Dairies (Consolidation) Act, 1915) in certain particulars before bringing it into operation.
