HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 cc64-5W
Mr. PERKINS

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions whether he is aware that the Beaulieu Aerodrome, including a large number of temporary and permanent buildings, has been handed to the Disposal Board for six months; and when does he propose to sell or remove these buildings, and to restore the site to the use of the public in the New Forest?

Mr. KELLAWAY

The delay in dealing with the disposal of the buildings at the Beaulieu Aerodrome has been due to protracted negotiations with the local authorities who had under consideration a proposal to snake use of the buildings for a temporary housing scheme. This proposal has now been definitely abandoned, and instructions have been given for the buildings to be sold for removal at an early date.
