§ Mr. BALDWINThe cost of increasing the pensions of pre-war pensioners to the scale of post-war pensioners would be approximately as follows for the first year:
1786W These amounts would be reduced in subsequent years by the lapses arising through deaths. My hon. and gallant Friend will realise that it has only been possible to prepare a very rough estimate of the cost.
