HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 c1663W
Captain W. BENN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Shipping Controller whether in the event of the funds at present in the hands of the central committee of the Shipmasters' and Officers' 1919 Relief Fund being consumed at an early date, he will state the prospects of further grants being made; and whether a larger grant will immediately be given to the fund which would enable the committee to increase the present allowances made to applicants?

Colonel WILSON

I understand that when the first grant was made, the committee of the fund were informed that consideration would be given to the question of a Supplementary Grant should the circumstances justify such a course. The question of a larger Grant is one for the committee administering the fund.
