HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 c1649W
Mr. RENDALL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether Sergeant H. Hunt, No. 226,379, Royal Field Artillery, now at the Addington Park Military Hospital, East Croydon, Surrey, was lately in Turkey and, under circumstances known to the War Office, an order for his immediate release was sent out; whether such an order ever came to hand, and if this man has now returned home, and is now being retained at the above hospital; and will he have him released forthwith?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I am informed that Signaller H. Hunt, No. 226379, Royal Field Artillery, is now a patient at the Addington Park Military Hospital, Croydon, and instructions have been sent to the hospital to report when he is medically fit to be discharged.

Mr. RENDALL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether E. Vizard, No. 63455, 51st battalion, D company, Royal Warwicks, Rhine Army, called up 14th August, 1918, at the age of eighteen, an apprentice, will be discharged from the Army, and when?

Mr. CHURCHILL

If the facts are as stated by my hon. Friend, I regret that priority of release cannot be granted to this man, but in any case he will be sent for dispersal not later than 1st April, 1920.
