§ Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHYasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in the event of an officer in His Majesty's Army being called upon to resign his commission through adverse reports, he is entitled to gratuity for the period served in the field; and, if not, whether he will state the reason for this, in view of the fact that many of these officers have clone good service in the War under active service conditions?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLUnder Army Order 406 of 1915, paragraph 2 (k), officers whose services are dispensed with for reasons which are not in the opinion of the Army Council satisfactory are debarred from the gratuity.
