GRAHAMasked the Secretary for Scotland whether, in view of the introduction of a Bill dealing with public libraries and museums in England and Wales, particularly with reference to the rate that may be levied, it is the intention of the Government to introduce a similar measure for Scotland?
§ Mr. MUNROI cannot at present give any undertaking in this matter, but it will receive my consideration in consultation with those interested. I would remind my hon. Friend that Section 5 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1018, has already made provision for the additional supply of books for general reading, as an ancillary means of education, through the new education authority.
