§ Brigadier-General CROFTasked the Prime Minister what is the number of lapsed insurance policies since the commencement of the War; and what steps the Government are taking to arrive at an equitable arrangement in connection with these policies?
§ Sir A. GEDDESI have been asked to answer this question. The returns filed under the Assurance Companies Act, 1909, do not show the total number of lapsed policies, and I am therefore unable to furnish information as to the number of lapsed policies since the commencement of the War. The question of lapsed policies is one of the matters which will receive the attention of the Committee appointed to inquire into industrial life assurance.
