§ Mr. BETTERTONasked the Secretary of State for War whether the proposal to acquire land and to erect thereon large additions to the accommodation at present existing at the Chilwell filling factory has now been abandoned?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe question of acquiring this land is not now being pursued further. I might add that the War Office has received a copy of a resolution passed unanimously by the Beeston Urban District Council expressing the opinion that the projected extensions at Chilwell were most essential, from a national as well as from a local point of view.
