Lieut.-Colonel MALONEasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether any regulations exist in France, Italy, and the United States of America with regard to capital issues for enterprises outside those countries?
§ Mr. BALDWINThe restrictions imposed during the War in the United States of America have, I believe; now been removed. I understand that certain restrictions are still in force in France and Italy.

Lieut.-Colonel MALONEasked whether any restrictions exist in Germany with regard to capital issues for enterprises outside that country?
§ Mr. BALDWINI have no information.
Lieut.-Colonel MALONEasked how long it is proposed to continue the present Regulations regarding the restrictions on capital issues?
§ Mr. BALDWINI do not think it will be possible to abandon the present restrictions altogether in the near future, but I hope that further relaxations can be made before very long. The matter is now under consideration, and I trust I shall be able to make an announcement at an early date.
