BENNasked the Secretary of State for War whether the members of the 7th Royal Scots (Leith Battalion) who joined the Army voluntarily in 1914 and who were prevented from going on active service through injuries received in the Gretna disaster are to receive any recognition which will show that they joined voluntarily for active service in the first stages of the War?
§ Mr. FORSTERI would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply to his question on the 13th February last. As already stated on several occasions recently, the question of an award to those who rendered services in the Army at home during the War is under consideration.
