§ Mr. FISHERJuvenile unemployment centres were established in the areas of sixty-eight local education authorities in England and Wales. The number of those who, up to 12th August, 1919, expressed the desire to avail themselves of the provisions of Circular 1,117, relating to maintenance allowances offered by the National Relief Fund, is five. The number who have replied that they do not desire to take any action under the Circular is twenty-two. It is impossible at present to estimate the number of scholars likely to receive maintenance under the scheme.
