Lieut.-Colonel BELLasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that there is at the present time no hay available in Wiltshire for purchase by the civil population; and whether, under the circumstances, he will release for civil consumption some portion of the large stocks held in the country by the War Department?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe hay purchased for the Army which became surplus to requirements owing to demobilisation has already been handed over for civil consumption. I would add that the whole of the 1919 crop of hay is available for purchase by the civil population.
