Sir LEICESTER HARMSWORTHasked the Secretary for Scotland whether, while the most recent Education Act for England recognises that time spent in teaching in Scotland shall be reckoned as a qualifying period in respect of superannuation, the most recent Education Act for Scotland fails to recognise reciprocal service in England; and whether there is prospect of the unequal treatment being removed?
§ Mr. MUNROMy hon. Friend is under a misapprehension in this matter. Recognition of service in England for the purpose of the Scottish superannuation scheme for teachers is provided for in Article 12 of that scheme, a copy of which I am sending to my hon. Friend.
