§ Sir HERBERT NIELDasked the Pensions Minister whether, now that he has received the Report of the Select Committee on Pensions, he can make any state- 583W ment with regard to the amendment of the Royal Warrant, paragraph 24 (2), by enlarging the definition of the word "child" so as to include all children of men in His Majesty's Forces whose fathers die as the result of injuries received during the War or whose death is directly attributable to war service, irrespective of whether the children are born before or after the father's demobilisation or discharge?
§ Sir J. CRAIGThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Select Committee did not make any recommendation on the lines suggested in my hon. and learned Friend's question. My right hon. Friend is not prepared to alter the Warrant.
