§ Mr. CHURCHILLNo. Sir, it is impossible to release all the Derby men at once, and to the exclusion of other classes of men, but as explained in the Memorandum recently published all Derby men who joined the Colours for service before 1st July, 1916, excepting those in India and Russia, will have begun the journey home before the 1st November. I regret that I can make no statement regarding men who 573W joined the Colours for service after that date unless they are rendered eligible on account of age, or wounds received, etc.
