Lieut. - Colonel HERBERTasked the Secretary of State for India whether he will make a statement with regard to the medical arrangements on the Afghan frontier; and whether the Government of India or the home Government is responsible for these arrangements?
§ Mr. MONTAGUThe Government of India is primarily responsible for medical arrangements on the North-West Frontier as elsewhere in India. I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given yesterday to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for the Melton Division as to the arrangements made for the health and comfort of the troops on the North-West Frontier of India.
