§ Captain BOWYERasked the President of the Board of Trade what will be the average pit-head price of the 194,000,000 tons of coal expected to be raised and sold in this country during the twelve months ending 16th July, 1920, and also the anticipated average pit-head price of the 23,000,000 tons to be exported during the same period?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANI would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by my right hon. Friend in the House on the 14th July, in which he indicated that the amount of coal sold for consumption in 207W the United Kingdom will be at the rate of 157,000,000 tons per annum, and that the average pit-head prices for home consumption and for export were estimated at 29s. 3½d. per ton, and 35s. per ton. respectively.
