§ Viscount WOLMERasked the Secretary of State for War whether officers who have signed on in the Regular Army serving abroad, under War Office letter dated 4th January, 1919, are entitled to have their wives and families sent out to them as in the case of battalions serving abroad before the War?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLIt is the intention to dispatch during the ensuing trooping season the wives and families of officers of units, etc., of the Regular Army proceeding on relief or serving at garrisons abroad, including India (excluding Armies of Occupation), on a definite tour of duty. The number for whom conveyance will be required is large, and hence their dispatch must necessarily be spread over the whole period of the trooping season.
