HC Deb 04 August 1919 vol 119 c41W
Viscount WOLMER

asked the Prime Minister whether he will give instructions that symbols representing, respectively, the Christian, Mahomedan, and Jewish faiths be engraved on any cenotaph or war memorial erected to men who have fallen in the War, so as to exclude the suggestion that they were all men of no religious belief?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The Government do not think that it would be desirable to adopt the suggestion of my Noble Friend.
