Lieutenant-Colonel PINKHAMasked the Secretary of State for War whether 2536W the Army Regulations prohibit a Volunteer battalion attending a church parade at a Nonconformist church?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI am informed that there is no Army Regulation bearing on this subject except paragraph 1333 of the King's Regulations, which lays down that no soldier may be compelled to attend the services of any religious body other than his own, and so far as I am aware it has never been the practice to exercise such compulsion in the case of the Volunteers.
