§ Mr. ROWLANDSasked the President of the Board of Trade whether the Departmental Committee appointed in May, 1914, to inquire into the working of the Railway Employment (Prevention of Accident) Act, 1900, has presented a Report or reported the evidence taken; if so, whether the Report and evidence will be published; and whether the Board of Trade has expressed any opinion as to the further prosecution of this inquiry?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe Committee referred to have presented a Report and1232W have reported the evidence taken by them, and they have asked whether the Board of Trade consider it inexpedient and impracticable to resume the inquiry under present circumstances. My right hon. Friend has answered this question in the affirmative. I doubt whether there would be any advantage in publishing the Report or the evidence.
