HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1222W
Major HILLS

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he can hold out any hope that the position of interpreters will be reconsidered, with a view to improving their conditions of service, especially with regard to war gratuities?

Mr. FORSTER

If, as I understand, the question refers to interpreters at prisoner of war camps, I have already set on foot an inquiry into the circumstances, and will let my hon. and gallant Friend know the result.
