Lieutenant-Colonel MALONE

asked the President of the Local Government Board how many building schemes have been submitted by local authorities for the approval of the Board; and how many of the schemes that have been submitted have received the approval of the Board?

Dr. ADDISON

Proposals for housing schemes have been submitted to the Local Government Board by 352 local authorities. A large proportion of these proposals are for the acquisition of sites, but ninety-five local authorities have submitted plans for houses and forty-four schemes have been approved.
