HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 cc1224-5W
Lieutenant-Colonel CAMPION

asked the Pensions Minister whether he is aware of the hardship undergone by soldiers disabled in former wars owing to insufficiency of pension under existing circumstances; and whether he can see his way to treat these men in the same way as those disabled in the late war?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

Men disabled in former wars already have their pensions raised to present-war rates if they are totally incapacitated by disabilities wholly due to service, or if they had wounds or injuries corresponding to those specified in the First Schedule of the Royal Warrant of 17th April, 1918, and to the pensions so raised the war bonus of 20 per cent. is added. I am sending my hon. and gallant Friend copies of the Warrants in which these benefits are embodied.
