HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 cc1227-8W
Colonel THORNE

asked the Home Secretary whether the Government are considering the advisability of recognising in any way the valuable services that the London firemen and the West Ham firemen rendered during all the emeny air raids previous to the Armistice being signed; and whether the Government will, at the same time, consider the question of recognising the valuable services rendered by the various turncocks working for the Metropolitan Water Board?

Mr. SHORTT

As I informed the hon. and gallant Member for Leith on the 24th March, the claims of firemen who have served under conditions of special danger will not be overlooked; the turncocks also will be borne in mind.
