§ Mr. STOKERasked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the decision of Justices Darling, Avory, and Sankey, 26th October, 1917, in the case of Marshall v. Malcolm, and in view of the many cases somewhat similar, and of extreme hardship now coming before, magistrates as a result of the War, he will take any action to bring about such amendment of Section 3 of the Bastardy Laws Amendment Act, 1872, so that a married woman might secure an order on proof that she was living separate and apart from her husband at the time of conception?
