HC Deb 21 October 1918 vol 110 c441W
Mr. CRUMLEY

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if his attention has been tailed to the inadequacy of pensions granted before the War to retired members of the Royal Irish Constabulary; and, having regard to the increased cost of provisions and necessaries, will he have a Clause inserted in the promised Bill dealing with constabulary pay and pensions providing for a substantial increase of the pre-war pensions referred to?

Mr. SHORTT

I am aware of the applications made for increase of pensions by retired members of the Royal Irish Constabulary, and the matter is having consideration, but there are serious difficulties in the way.
