§ Major BOWDENasked the Minister of Labour whether he is preparing, in anticipation of the demobilisation of the Navy and Army, any considered scheme for securing that every disabled man who wants work and is fit for it shall be able to obtain it without unnecessary and disheartening delay; and, if so, whether he has given careful consideration to the proposals put forward by Mr. Rothband, of Manchester?
§ Mr. G. ROBERTSThe importance of making all practicable provision for the re-employment of disabled men is fully realised by the Minister of Labour and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions, and Mr. Rothband's proposals have received their very careful consideration. I am not, however, satisfied that all the difficulties would be satisfactorily met by the adoption of these proposals.
